Leighton cleared waivers, I'm really curious to see what the move is tonight. This series isn't over yet!

Rumor has it that James Van Riemsdyk could be playing tonight after returning from foot surgery. With the #'s that Rinaldo put up (more penalty minutes than minutes played), it would only seem logical since JVR has boatloads of  talent.

Rinaldo cross-checked Michalek and then shoved him to the ice in front of the referee when he was trying to stand up. The NHL's overwhelmed Department of Player Safety reviewed the play and determined the hits were not worthy of supplementary discipline.

"I don't regret doing it. I play with my emotions," Rinaldo said. "I don't think I put my team down. It was already 9-3 when I went out there. I wear my heart on my sleeve. I was really frustrated that we were getting blown out of the water, so I took matters into my own hands."

bah, I'm not a fan of Rinaldo. He is quick, young & high-energy. Has the potential to make legit game-momentum hits with those assets. Unfortunately he takes bad penalties, runs his mouth too much and is dirty. The refs won't give him an inch this year since he is a rookie, and he doesn't seem to care if he gets fined/suspended at all.

I loathed Gretzky growing up, but at least he didnt whine when somebody tried to take him out of the game nor did he ever cheap shot anyone - he played a skill game, but it was an honest one... but, of course, he had Cement Head Semenko to beat the shit out of those who would touch The Great One.

Lemeiux... he took his punishment without flinching and whining as well.

Crosby just fucking whines, or does cheap shots knowing that the refs would never make a call against The Kid. Or someone like Adams will ride in on his White Horse to protect him when he does.

I am really hoping the Pens are taken out tonight so we can all forget about Crosby for another four months.

I have to say, I know many, many Flyers fans. I can't name a single one of them that actually likes Rinaldo. I personally have no problems with him. I climbed up in my fantasy league because I was behind in PIMs and picked up Rinaldo for a bit haha

I called the Pens winning game 4, and the Flyers taking the series in game 5. I hope this isn't the case, but there's still more hockey to be played!

Mario Lemeiux, the greatest player I've ever seen. I could only imagine what he could have accomplished had he not fought cancer half his career. My favorite enforcers was Jeff Beukeboom, or however it's spelled. He kept his teammates well protected. My favorite hockey moment was him beating the shit out of someone so badly the opposing teams goalie jumped on his back because he thought his teammate was going to die, only to have the other goalie break his face. Ahh I miss the old game, but just like in football, too many concussions from the old days. Now Jeff has brain damage from his hockey days. Fuck our mortality, hockey should be exempt.

Well I mean, seeing the first winning game out here in LA was fucking stellar live, soooo. Had center ice seats, three rows from the board. I'm wishing they included Playoff tickets in season passes though, the extra cash -while TOTALLY worth it- is a drain on my pockets.

You must be forgetting Gretzky had McSorley watching his back almost his entire career. Didn't Gretzky demand that he be part of the trade to the Kings? Or is that just an old wives tale?
