Instant cast is easy.  Ring of Frost is easily avoidable and buys time when used properly.  Polymorph (or any CC with cast time) will always have a long cast time for the caster and short cast time for the recipient.  I always strive to have Frozen Fingers ready and use Deep Freeze to set up a Shatter.  I like the mobility cast talent coming up in MOP.

As for Graush and Varaelian:  They are haters of me.  They are looking for a straw man to ridicule and have lied about me.  I have them on ignore in game.  If you want to discuss eijther of these in detail with me, you can message me on this board or any of my alts, which I have listed in my signature.  This section is best left for another topic.

As it stands, I think all the changes make Ice Lance do like 5 percent more damage per global, so it will still be worth it in PvE, but it won't be as ridiculous in PvP. So there's a good chance this scenario won't replay itself out in Mists of Pandaria, but we'll see.

And I don't want to get into too many specifics here, but Frost CC is actually mediocre in high-level 3v3 play. What's ridiculous about Frost Mages is the easy-to-do burst damage. The CC becomes less impressive as healers learn to manage their dispels better, especially in comparison to the CC Warlocks and even Hunters can do on a consistent basis.

If you soft CS the healer coc>rof would work, but i always laugh whenever people stack up vs. me, about 90% of the time we have a fear class with us and a lot of our CC is aoe based.
