I -think- there was a bit of an attack on Ironforge earlier? Like..around 6 or prior?

You don't have to be in denial all the time, friend. 6 PM on a Friday isn't exactly a dead server time.

Any time before 8 we're pretty thin on the ground.  We've got people from all over the globe, and usually have 30-40 on at prime time, sometimes spiking to over 50.

Edit:  Trying to find out our numbers on a Friday or Saturday is also a bad idea.  Most of our people actually do stuff those days.

Kingship only has around five members online usually, but they want me to believe they have most of the Eastern Kingdoms claimed? ha.

If you're honestly not joking, I think we may need to find someone not hopelessly lost on the server to run a compendium. You really should have some basic understanding of the history of the server, who people are, or have been involved with people before compiling a guide.

Otherwise it's like a virgin writing a sex manual.

Someone should make up a map with all this :)

Something like this? http://arinafans.net/host/CompositeMarked.jpg

That's perfect Wylair. I love it. If you're up for doing one once the rest of the guilds have posted, we'll just run with that.

Republic lays claim to Valiance Keep in Borean Tundra and surrounding areas, the patrolled/guarded lands ending just shy of Warsong Hold.

Also, that map looks awesome. Keep it up.

Fuji, while you make valiant efforts, perhaps you should consider more diplomatic measures than picking a fight every time someone critiques you constructively. Going to make a really bad name for yourself really quick.

Funny, there was just a massive Horde raid when you posted that.

Bro.

Okay, let me log in real quick and /who them:

There's no Blackmoon Tribe in Warcraft lore.

Read my signature, when I say my guild, more likely than not I'm referring to the guild I'm the GM of. Since you are too lazy to do that: http://www.wowwiki.com/Farstriders

Since you're probably too lazy to read that I'll quote it for you

Quote
The second consists of the few remaining high elven Farstriders (who did not or are yet to declare themselves sin'dorei) based in Farstrider Lodge in Loch Modan and other lodges in northern Lordaeron. The second group may be included in the first, however, they may also be a separate organization due to them being from two different races.

My guild plays members of that, mainly members based from the Loch Modan lodge or characters hired by the Farstriders of that lodge, but we have characters based in the other lodges or Allerian as well.

Best part of this thread for me, was seeing you log into Darkshire being under attack. lol.

I changed it up to one that used borders for the larger areas to prevent overlay being too much of a cluster when there gets to be more guilds.

That one should be a little easier to read, I haven't placed the key in that one yet though.

(I think any guild that claims major zones like that is ridiculous)

You also seem to be missing the point that they claim to protect such lands from the vile enemy.

Using this logic I must also state the fact that, as soldiers of our priestess Tyrandel, the Sentinels of the Blade duty is to protect all Kal'dorei lands, including Feralas, Ashenvale, Darkshore and Teldrassil. During all my active time, i've never seen a distress call from those lands to go unawnsered, even during (and consequently disrupting) RP sessions.

Well technically DV claims Bloodgulch, Dragonmaw Port and Crushblow. Fuji was just limiting us to one place in the thread, but if people are going to start talking about claiming whole continents...

^I agree to this. The limit capped by that post was one place. IMO a Map shouldnt be made showing a single house, if it's going to benefit our realm, it should be made to show the area's each guild contest for, or plan on defending when they can. So searchers of freelance Wpvp have a layout of what bells will attract some attentiont. Just my thoughts.

This was made to show where a guild's main base of operations would be, but people are too greedy to simply choose one place, so they'd rather have no headquarters.

People have stated their main base of operations.  They are also making it known where they will respond to alarms if attacked.  Areas they consider to be under their protection.  They aren't saying they own them.

Don't take it the wrong way Fuji, it's a wonderful thing you're doing. You've brought to the table something that I'm sure was in the back of the mind of plenty of people, now the community will take your idea and overall, make it their own. ^.^

I completely agree with Fafen on this. I think the idea is slowly growing more into, ok yes, the guild itself may operate out of X Y and Z area's but they roam around P and Z zones. Not only will it continue to give flavor to our Wpvp, its a nice addition to the Realms Lore Progression as we van visibly see areas of operation. I think if we cap what zones a guild can "operate in" offically, compared to their total guild memberbase, it'll add more creditability to claims. Also prehaps adding a Nomadic tally, for guiilds that ither lack the memberbase or interest in a single slot, to show they are in fact be represented in these maps.

Edit: Also, guilds operateing in a zone dosent exactly mean they own a zone, I see no reason why two guilds couldnt operate in the same zones from time to time. The DCO makes no claim to Westfall, Redridge, STV, Deadwind pass, Blasted Lands, however there's nothing to stop a patrol from Duskwood pushing into one of those area's for the sake of Darkshire's security.

As stated earlier, a lot of guilds have no specific main base, or have multiple ones. If they do, it may not be a permanent main base. I know, (I'm pretty sure, anyway), that Kingship moves their base every so often, so they would either have to list -every- base they have had in the past, and plan to have in the future, or they can simply lay out what lands they claim in a broad sense. It's not a matter of being 'too greedy'. Besides, wouldn't you rather know what lands would get responses to attacks, and who will be responding? I know I would like, at the very least, a vague idea. Plus, considering how many people are claiming the same contested areas, I think it's rather nifty and handy information to have.

I would like to see people listing what lands they protect too, but most people aren't even trying to follow the format of the thread. For some reason, people think you can only have one or the other.

I get the feeling that there are a lot new people to the server here, so let me elaborate.

KOTE, is the result of several smaller guilds coming together. Those guilds each held locations in the region I've explained. As in they actively had their bases in each of those places, akin to what many of the other guilds have posted here.

KOTE, has been around for six years. That base premise has, over time, expanded. While there seems to be a plentiful bounty of guilds now popping up, which is awesome, that has by no means been the case over the long span. This has resulted in other groups joining us when their guild retired or something has happened in-house, that precipitated a change.

So when I say that we provide stewardship over those lands, I mean precisely that.

There are Barons, each with 5-10 people, who are individually housed in every location in the area I have designated. If you want I can spam this with a detailed list of every baron and their location, but I didn't want to go into that detail. Why? Because unless you're in Kingship, it really shouldn't matter.

As for the locations that some others are claiming, they are all very legitimate. Sunsworn is very big, they are aggressive, and they absolutely patrol those lands.

For instance, if Sentinels of the Blade were saying "All of Feralas, with a Stonghold in Feathermoon." As they are.... good.

But where the rubber hits the road here, is when people place locations that exist...in their Rp stories, but they never actually have any meaningful focus there.

Fuji why is every post you make amazingly negative? You asked for information and then you've spent half your posts making judgement calls on the information you're getting without any kind of effort to understand the guilds here. And it's not just KoTE. It's Sunsworn, etc.

Are you some random server transfer from Moonguard? Where a hundred tiny guilds Rp a base that they never, ever, hold down? Because that's what I'm getting here.

Frankly, efforts to participate in this guide are rapidly not being worth the time of some of us. I'm letting you know here, so you can adjust your behavior. I hope you do.

No.

And don't say this is "wasting your time" because time does not exist in RP. It's important to pay attention to detail, and that's all I'm doing. I just want specific regions where guilds are most prominent. I'd like it if you didn't make assumptions of my RP, as I have not yet commented on yours.
